FILM TRAILER: HOW

HOW

The film trailer is one of the most cost affective ways to advertise your film. Film trailers are shown on social media snd in cinemas. The trailer will show the audience what to expect if they go and watch the film. When the trailer is made they will use extracts from the finished film creating the audience to become excited to see it.

The trailer will include a variety of different conventions such as moving image, graphics, voice over, non-diagetic soundtrack, film title and director. These combined will give the audience an idea of what kind of theme it is and what to expect.

Trailer can be put into these categories:

The teaser trailer
The full trailer
The TV trailer
On set blogs created by cast or crew

Film trailers may begin to appear in cinemas up to a year before the film is actually released, however these will only be teaser trailers. The full length film trailer will be released to TV and cinema a few months before released.
I decide to visit the 'analysis, conventions' area of the website where I completed an exercise in which you must match the key messages to form the correct sentence. Each sentence formed would highlight key things to include in a trailer.

Once I completed the exercise I checked my answers and saw I got 100%.
