I chose 'Focus' as my film magazine name as it is a simple, easy to remember name which also relates well to the film industry.

Powered by emaze Current market for film magazine covers include Empire, Total Film, Entertainment Weekly, Premiere, Sight&Sound. I've decided to analyse three film magazine covers in order to learn the generic codes and conventions.  There are many film magazine covers that I had to choose from and finally decided on Empire, Total Film and Entertainment Weekly.

The first magazine cover I decided to analyse an Empire magazine cover for Guardians of the Galaxy.

The second magazine cover that I analysed was by Total Film for Dunkirk.
