FILM TRAILER: WHERE

Trailers will be shown on TV, in cinema, social media, posters and the radio, which gives the film a wide audience. People are also able to see trailers on the film website or the trailer websites, and these will be available for all ages, whereas trailers that are shown in cinema will usually correspond to the film that is being screened.

Most of the time when people are watching TV they will not pay attention to the adverts therefore having a film trailer on TV is not the most effective way to raise awareness about your new film. A more effective way to get people to notice your film tailer is by showing in in cinemas. By using the traditional method of showing it in the cinemas, the tailer will be shown before a film which is most likely to have a similar theme and audience. Also these trailers cannot be skipped like they can in other circumstances, such as YouTube or TV.

Another positive to seeing a tailer in a cinema as opposed to seeing it on TV or on YouTube is that you will be watching it with Dolby surround sound and on a large cinema screen. Therefore you are more likely to remember watching it and to return to the cinema to view it in the future.
